The Sweet Escape

This is one of my favorite songs!

Ninjas: Fact Or Fiction

Ninjas Are Everywhere! They have taken over the screens of TVs, games, and stories.
Fact Or Fiction? Both:
But, What were Ninjas? History shows that ninjas didn't go around Saving people..They had a more dark past.

No one knows for sure if they dressed in those Ninja Outfits. Seeing that I don't think there was a ninja store around!
There is one thing that is true. They were secretive. Spies for the Japanese army. The Whole Ninja assassin thing. Should just be Ninjas.
Why?
Well, they were sent to assassinate people using Martial Arts. I don't think that included the whole Elemental Powers featured in Naruto! There is said to be "Ninjas" today. Training in Martial Arts. Some people believe that if you have a black belt in 15 martial arts, than you can become a ninjas. (Today Ninjas are called Urban Ninjas)

The Old Ninjas: their past creeps in the shadows Of Japans Past. We may never be sure of the true past and ways of the ninjas. It may always be a mystery.

They do make killers mangas though!

Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. The First of a two book series. (The Second is called The Last Days)

Vampires, Its not a legend. Its not dying, its not becoming immortal.
Its a disease. Simple as that. A sickness. In this world. You don't become some God. You become a cold blooded killer. The Disease is like a human version of Rabies. But with eating people.

Cal was a normal college kid. Until he meet Morgan. Morgan gave him the disease. Now his job to find all those he's infected.
Wait...Cal should be a cold blooded killer? No. Truth is hes a carrier. A Vampire unchanged by the disease. But, No one calls Vampires, Vampires, They call them Peeps. Or short for Parasite Positive!

But as Cal uncovers some mysteries. Is the Disease Good? Is there two types? Is it there for a reason?

This book deserves a 4 out of 5 stars. Some parts lagged and didn't contain action.

It was a good book!

Pieces Of Nature

James F. Snyder (James F. Snyder)

Brian E. Tang (Brian E. Tang)

Award-Winning Wildlife Photos from the National Wildlife Federation's Photo Contest

Above you can see some pieces of nature. If we just look you can see the beauty of our world. You know this but Slowly ourselves are taking away pieces of nature. Instead of sitting inside and watching TV we should appreciate nature. While It lasts. Its not going to be here forever. Because the government doesn't care. Anyway they are going to be dead when the world becomes a mess.
Us humans only care for ourselves. Recycling is not enough. Caring is not enough. There will be no change unless some person in the government changes their mind and thinks this world is more important than money.

No Duh! Sex In Media Drives Earlier Teen Passion

Interesting Article I found from http://www.livescience.com/health/060403_teensex_media.html
Enjoy! Ps. Please be mature if your young.

No, Duh! Sex in Media Drives Earlier Teen Passion

By Sara Goudarzi, LiveScience Staff Writer

posted: 03 April 2006 12:54 am ET

Media with high sexual content is fueling the sex life of teenagers, suggests a new study that surveyed 1,017 black and white teens between the ages of 12 and 14.

The study analyzed 308 different television shows, movies, songs, and magazines commonly used by teenagers and calculated each teens “sexual media diet.” The researchers then followed up with each teen two years later inquiring about their sexual behavior.

As it turns out, white teens who use media with high sexual content were more than two times as likely to have sex by the time they were 16 years old than those who used less. In black teens the relationship was not as solid.

Teens are looking to entertainment media for sexual information because they don't receive it from other sources, said Jane Brown, a professor at University of North Carolina and the principal investigator of the study. "Unfortunately, the media aren't the best sex educators. The media tend to leave out the crucial three C's: commitment, contraception and consequences."

The scientists found that the best way to protect teenagers from early sexual engagement is for parents to communicate on the topic with their kids.

Both black and white teens whose parents disapproved of early sexual activities were less likely to have sex by the time they were 16, the survey found. Those who didn't get a clear sense of disapproval from their parents were more likely to engage in sexual activities.

The researchers believe that teachers, parents, and media should educate teens in order to give them the proper tools to make decisions about their sexual life.

"Otherwise, the media will continue to serve as a kind of sexual super peer that doesn't have the best interests of young people in mind," Brown said.

Animal Testing: Good Or Bad?

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are like us.' Ask the experimenters why it is morally OK to experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are not like us.' Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction."
-Professor Charles R. Magel

As many as 115 million animals are experimented on and killed in laboratories in the U.S. every year. Much of the experimentation-including pumping chemicals into rats' stomachs, hacking muscle tissue from dogs' thighs, and putting baby monkeys in isolation chambers far from their mothers-is paid for by you, the American taxpayer and consumer, yet you can't visit a laboratory and see how the government has spent your money. You can't even get an accurate count on the number of animals killed every year because experimenters and the government have decided that mice and rats and certain other animals don't even have to be counted.

Animal experimentation is a multibillion-dollar industry fueled by massive public funding and involving a complex web of corporate, government, and university laboratories, cage and food manufacturers, and animal breeders, dealers, and transporters. The industry and its people profit because animals, who cannot defend themselves against abuse, are legally imprisoned and exploited.

Fortunately for animals in laboratories, there are people who care. Some of them work in labs, and when they witness abuse, they call PETA. Thanks to these courageous whistleblowers, PETA's undercover investigators and caseworkers, who sift through reams of scientific and government documents, have exposed what goes on behind laboratory doors.

If the ingredients are tested on animals for danger, would you really want to use it?
Here's the main Idea: Animal Testing is basically hurting and torturing the animal. They spend billions of dollars on Animal Testing yet its not just cruel. It doesn't work. Most Animal tests have been proven as fails. Not resulting in any further steps.
We do Animal Testing because animals can't speak, they can't defend themselves, If you wanted Results for HUMANS you test on humans right? Some Dogs were barking in a lab. The researchers decided to cut their vocal cords, not giving the dogs any painkillers or medicines.
The Stories are sad. But its so cruel. Sometimes they cut the toes of the animals off.
Research programs at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford have instituted non-animal testing techniques that have actually proven to be more reliable, accurate, and cost-effective. Yet, inexplicably, most research labs show little or no inclination to change their medieval practices.

Did you know 94% of animal testing is for Beauty and cosmetics? Should Animals Die just so we can look pretty?

How you can help:
Don't buy animal tested products. The Product usually says "Not tested on animals" If it doesn't it mostly likely is.
Don't buy COVERGIRL They are one of the big companies that tests on animals.
If everyone stopped buying the animal tested products than they would go out of business and not test on animals anymore.

Here's the point:
Animal Testing has NO point because it doesn't work, Its Expensive, there is cheaper, more effective ways of testing. The Product shouldn't even be tested if its safe and has non-toxic chemicals in it. Right?

Animals are like humans, Humans are like bully's, we promote the non-bully thing everywhere yet we do harm to the animals we *Evolved* came from. Basically destroying ourselves.
~Unknown

Will The World End In 2012?

Will the World end in 2012?
No,
1. NASA can detect metorites from 2 years away (none coming)
2. The World was SUPPOSED to end in 2000
3. If the governments believe in it we wouldn't be having the 2012 olympics.
4. The 2012 was predicted by people from thousands of years ago.

But What do people think?

No, the Mayans never predicted the world would end. That's just when their calendar ended. The History Channel made people think that the Mayans directly predicted the end of the world in 2012, when they didn't. And why would a calendar ending have any affect on the world ending? If we are going to go by calendars ending then we might as well say the world will end on December 31, 2009 because Hallmark hasn't printed any calendars for 2010! And were the Mayans brilliant scientists? No. Its like people saying Nostradamus predicting the world will end because of the LHC. Nostradamus was a moron. He didn't even know what a particle accelerator was because they weren't invented yet. People can't tell the future, and no the world isn't going to end in 2012. ~Wilson Yahoo Answers user

1. The Mayan count of days runs out of numbers, that's about the only fact.

2. The Mayans made no predictions about anything, except for seasons, solstices, full moons and eclipses, pretty much like we do, this sort of thing is fairly easy to do if you keep records and can do straight forward arithmetic.

3. The prediction that something big would happen in 2012 was invented maybe 20 years ago by a man called Jose Arguelles, he is a former LSD user, an astrologer and has claimed to be the re-incarnation of a Mayan priest among other peculiar things.

4. Since then a lot of other peculiar people and frauds have jumped on his bandwagon including the late Terence McKenna who "predicted" the future by taking drugs and by tossing coins.

5. Some say that the planets will line up. They won't and they can't. It would not mean anything if they did. They said exactly the same thing about the year 2000 which is another time the world was supposed to end. Back about 1958 a lot of the planets did almost line up and nobody noticed anything.

6. Some talk about galactic alignments of this or that. Most of these are not true, and the only one that is nearly right was closest in 1998. Nobody noticed anything. This does not worry the character behind it though. But I don't think he says the world is going to end either.

7. Planets X and Nibiru are invisible, have no size, have no mass and Nibiru can pass through the inner solar system repeatedly without affecting anything. In other words, they don't exist. X was invented by Nancy Lieder who claimed she was told about it by aliens who abducted her and now hears voices in her head.

Nibiru was cooked up by Zecharia Sitchin who invented it to sell books about aliens invading the Earth in ancient times and creating humans as slaves. He said it won't be back till after 2085.

8. There will be no pole shifts. Nancy Lieder claimed that planet X would cause a magnetic pole shift in 2003, but since it didn't happen she postponed planet X to 2012 to fit in with Arguelles ideas. Other people have invented solar flares and other things so they can have a pole shift. Solar flares cannot cause a magnetic pole shift on Earth, their magnetic fields are too weak by large factors.

9. Other predictions about the Sun are false or wrong. The next peak in solar activity is expected in the early - middle of 2013, not 2012 and the latest measurements show that the expected peak will be about average or even lower than average. Peaks in solar activity happen every 11 years. The worst that happens is that powers supplies can be cut in a few places for a few hours and some radio communications are disrupted.

10. Despite what some people say, there are no predictions about 2012 in the Bible, Nostradamus or any other old books. There was no prediction of 9/11 anywhere. These are straight lies.

11. There is no force that can cause a sudden shift in the geographic poles.

12. There are no known large asteroids or comets that are likely to hit the Earth in 2012.

13 The Institute for Human Continuity is owned by Sony pictures and is intended to promote the movie '2012'. It has no actual reality. The 2012 movie is based on Nancy Lieder's failed 2003 predictions.

14. The whole thing is either crazies raving or some others trying to make a few dollars by frightening some people into buying worthless junk or selling garbage shows to TV networks.

15. Most of the people worried about this are under 16. I do not know any adult that gives this material any consideration at all. They know it's garbage.
