Animal Testing: Good Or Bad?

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are like us.' Ask the experimenters why it is morally OK to experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are not like us.' Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction."
-Professor Charles R. Magel

As many as 115 million animals are experimented on and killed in laboratories in the U.S. every year. Much of the experimentation-including pumping chemicals into rats' stomachs, hacking muscle tissue from dogs' thighs, and putting baby monkeys in isolation chambers far from their mothers-is paid for by you, the American taxpayer and consumer, yet you can't visit a laboratory and see how the government has spent your money. You can't even get an accurate count on the number of animals killed every year because experimenters and the government have decided that mice and rats and certain other animals don't even have to be counted.

Animal experimentation is a multibillion-dollar industry fueled by massive public funding and involving a complex web of corporate, government, and university laboratories, cage and food manufacturers, and animal breeders, dealers, and transporters. The industry and its people profit because animals, who cannot defend themselves against abuse, are legally imprisoned and exploited.

Fortunately for animals in laboratories, there are people who care. Some of them work in labs, and when they witness abuse, they call PETA. Thanks to these courageous whistleblowers, PETA's undercover investigators and caseworkers, who sift through reams of scientific and government documents, have exposed what goes on behind laboratory doors.

If the ingredients are tested on animals for danger, would you really want to use it?
Here's the main Idea: Animal Testing is basically hurting and torturing the animal. They spend billions of dollars on Animal Testing yet its not just cruel. It doesn't work. Most Animal tests have been proven as fails. Not resulting in any further steps.
We do Animal Testing because animals can't speak, they can't defend themselves, If you wanted Results for HUMANS you test on humans right? Some Dogs were barking in a lab. The researchers decided to cut their vocal cords, not giving the dogs any painkillers or medicines.
The Stories are sad. But its so cruel. Sometimes they cut the toes of the animals off.
Research programs at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford have instituted non-animal testing techniques that have actually proven to be more reliable, accurate, and cost-effective. Yet, inexplicably, most research labs show little or no inclination to change their medieval practices.

Did you know 94% of animal testing is for Beauty and cosmetics? Should Animals Die just so we can look pretty?

How you can help:
Don't buy animal tested products. The Product usually says "Not tested on animals" If it doesn't it mostly likely is.
Don't buy COVERGIRL They are one of the big companies that tests on animals.
If everyone stopped buying the animal tested products than they would go out of business and not test on animals anymore.

Here's the point:
Animal Testing has NO point because it doesn't work, Its Expensive, there is cheaper, more effective ways of testing. The Product shouldn't even be tested if its safe and has non-toxic chemicals in it. Right?

Animals are like humans, Humans are like bully's, we promote the non-bully thing everywhere yet we do harm to the animals we *Evolved* came from. Basically destroying ourselves.

How Much is the Chemical Filled Fish?

This fish is a Guppy. Guppies have long top fins and wide tails.
They come in many colors.
Neko used to have 3 guppies.
They died in the first week.
Soon, We found out why when we visited the fish store where we bought the fish.
"Guppies, are very delicate they are injected with chemicals and shipped in tiny little bags, that are crowded. Plus, they are given lots of medicine so their color will last.
I suggest only professionals handle guppies. I don't think It's right to do that to fish, they are like people, but with fins." A smart Staff member stated.
We both agreed. This is serious, many beautiful fish are dieing every day because us humans, just don't care and want them to be bright colored! Like the Bubbled Eyed goldfish. Breed so bubbles come under their eyes and they can only see up. Why?
So little kids can laugh when they bump into things.
We think it is cruel.

Even wolverine wouldn't be this cruel.
Maybe, Iron man would when he is drunk.
Do you think fish should have to suffer for our amusement?
Sticking needles into fish so they can have bright colors?
Most fish are born with color. Like Guppies and neon tetras. But, Guppies have needles stuck into them, because they cannot see the beauty of the guppy the way it is. Us, Humans always want more, we are never thankful for what we do have.
Fish are silent all they ask for is lakes and oceans that are clean. But, do we listen?
NO! Because we are greedy.
Neon Tetras are born naturally with this color for a reason.
But, when say a fish that is brown to blend in with the sand is died a bright blue and relished back into the wild they have hard chances of surviving because they can not hide from their predators.
Another thing is betas. Aka Fighting fish, they are always put in these tiny tanks that they can hardly swim in.
They can't be kept together because they fight. Some people are so cruel, that they buy Fighting Fish that purpose: to watch them fight.
Betta fish are rarely kept as pets, they are kept in homes are ornaments in these small bowls they can hardly fit in.
If you want a Betta Fish, only buy one and get at least a two gallon tank.
I don't know but I think Betta fish may be injected with chemicals too.
We should just be thankful for the beauty that comes natural to the fish.
Some people also breed fish to death. Forcing them to breed. (I will not mention how they do it)
But it is cruel let's say that.
If you want a fish do lots of research and try to buy one that does not have chemicals in them. Tetras are quite strong. By, keeping the oceans and lakes clean. Not only will the fish live. But, we will be able to have a healthier world too!
Keeping the world Green!
If you have any questions.
