Our New Antenna

We Recently swapped our PVR for a HD Antenna, it costed a fair bit, but NO MONTHLY FEES, and all our channels are free.

Did you know major cable companies, have a giant antenna and get the channels for free and sell them back to you?

So, you are technically paying for something you could get for free?

When most people see Antenna's they think of old static TV.

WRONG! With ours we have mostly HD channels! There is also the fact that you can rotate it to get channels from different cities!

One Con is the fact that there is no guide, or channel listing.

I'm not saying one is better than the other. They both have their pros and cons!
You can see the pictures I took! (My first try at photo blogging!)
Hope your enjoyed! (Yes I took these!)
Should I add more posts like this?

Black Holes: In Pictures

Lensing by a black hole. Animated simulation of gravitational lensing caused by a Schwarzschild black hole going past a background galaxy

Black Holes are said to be like giant sucking vaccums. That even light can't escape it.
IT is called a "Black" hole because even light can't escape it.
What is a black hole? According to Answers.com:
A black hole is a theoretical entity predicted by the equations of general relativity. A black hole is formed when a star of sufficient mass undergoes gravitational collapse, with most or all of its mass compressed into a sufficiently small area of space, causing infinite spacetime curvature at that point (a "singularity"). Such a massive spacetime curvature allows nothing, not even light, to escape from the "event horizon," or border.
But, How is the Black Hole made? WikiAnswers.com says:
when a stars goes supernova some times all its matter collapses and compresses itself to create a black hole sucking in debris and stuff around it When a star is about 15 times bigger than our sun, (estimate) and super novas, it will turn into a nebula, which is a cloud of debris and matter that sucks itself back in due to gravity. The nebula will compress into a neutron star, which basically sits there and emits x-ray beams at near the speed of light. the neutron star is ridiculously dense (with a teaspoon weighing around 90,000kg), so it will eventually collapse on itself as well. this is what creates a black hole. the actual black hole is so dense in the center that anything that come too close will collapse into molecules and then be sucked in. the escape velocity of a black hole is higher than 186,000 miles per second, so light cannot even escape. Black holes sometimes come out of a dieing star, regularly an star 15-100 times the mass of our sun. When our sun dies, scientists KNOW that it will not produce a black hole but it will create a red giant and overtake the orbits of Mercury, Venus, and Earth. However some scientists believe that earth will not be destroyed by the sun but will take a new orbit, adjusting its orbit around the red giant. Although all life on earth will indefinitely be destroyed when this happens in about 5 billion years.
OK so I am guessing everyone knows what a black hole is. If you don't know. Read above! But did you know there are also WHITE HOLES? They are kinda like black holes, well the complete oppisite. Instead of sucking they blow. While a black hole sucks up all light, the white hole blows everything.

Kenya: In Photos

Kenya is located in the continent of Africa, The Coastline is dipping into the Indian Ocean. It shares a border with Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Somalia, Sudan and Ethiopia. Kenya is location on the Equator, guaranteeing warm, dry weather.
Let us explore Kenya, In Pictures, because as they say "A Picture is worth a 1000 words!"
A breeze blows, throwing fistfuls of snow across Mount Kenya which is cutting into the perfect blue sky. There is not much snow in Kenya, so the Mountain provides a rare sight.
Mount Kenya's snow covered peaks are visible from a dry Savannah, A tree provides a gray blanket of shade.
A Giraffe stands by some lush plants. Stretching its elegant neck to sneak a peak at some visitors. A white sand beach with Palm Trees shows the edge of beauty of Kenya.
An Elephant Proudly stomps in the dust. Mount Kenya is slightly visible in the background.
A herd of elephants, strolls through the lush grass. Little babies grip their parents tails. A leopard sits neatly in the Kenya sun, soaking up the hot sun.
The Summits of Mount Kenya are surrounded by a white mist. The Sun starts to set as zebras graze.
The red sunset announces the end of the typical day of Kenya.

How Much is the Chemical Filled Fish?

This fish is a Guppy. Guppies have long top fins and wide tails.
They come in many colors.
Neko used to have 3 guppies.
They died in the first week.
Soon, We found out why when we visited the fish store where we bought the fish.
"Guppies, are very delicate they are injected with chemicals and shipped in tiny little bags, that are crowded. Plus, they are given lots of medicine so their color will last.
I suggest only professionals handle guppies. I don't think It's right to do that to fish, they are like people, but with fins." A smart Staff member stated.
We both agreed. This is serious, many beautiful fish are dieing every day because us humans, just don't care and want them to be bright colored! Like the Bubbled Eyed goldfish. Breed so bubbles come under their eyes and they can only see up. Why?
So little kids can laugh when they bump into things.
We think it is cruel.

Even wolverine wouldn't be this cruel.
Maybe, Iron man would when he is drunk.
Do you think fish should have to suffer for our amusement?
Sticking needles into fish so they can have bright colors?
Most fish are born with color. Like Guppies and neon tetras. But, Guppies have needles stuck into them, because they cannot see the beauty of the guppy the way it is. Us, Humans always want more, we are never thankful for what we do have.
Fish are silent all they ask for is lakes and oceans that are clean. But, do we listen?
NO! Because we are greedy.
Neon Tetras are born naturally with this color for a reason.
But, when say a fish that is brown to blend in with the sand is died a bright blue and relished back into the wild they have hard chances of surviving because they can not hide from their predators.
Another thing is betas. Aka Fighting fish, they are always put in these tiny tanks that they can hardly swim in.
They can't be kept together because they fight. Some people are so cruel, that they buy Fighting Fish that purpose: to watch them fight.
Betta fish are rarely kept as pets, they are kept in homes are ornaments in these small bowls they can hardly fit in.
If you want a Betta Fish, only buy one and get at least a two gallon tank.
I don't know but I think Betta fish may be injected with chemicals too.
We should just be thankful for the beauty that comes natural to the fish.
Some people also breed fish to death. Forcing them to breed. (I will not mention how they do it)
But it is cruel let's say that.
If you want a fish do lots of research and try to buy one that does not have chemicals in them. Tetras are quite strong. By, keeping the oceans and lakes clean. Not only will the fish live. But, we will be able to have a healthier world too!
Keeping the world Green!
If you have any questions.
