Canadian Moments~ Vancouver 2010
1. Alexandre Bilodeau- A strong sense of nationalism; Canada's first ever gold on 'home soil'. This 22 year old won his gold with support from his older brother, Frederic. A touching scene to witness.
2. Maelle Ricker- First women to win a medal at these games; a gold medalist. She is 31 years old. In this difficult sport of snowboard cross, she proved she was a medal winner from the beginning, taking a good lead on her opponents.
3. Christine Nesbitt- Originally from Australia, this 24 year old pushed in the Ladies 1000m race, bringing home another gold for Canada. After a silver in Turin, Christine new that she was ready to go up another step.
Sorry that these are just Three of our amazing athletes. But if you want to support our country, look them up yourself.
The End.
Skiing and Snowboarding
Have you ever been skiing or snowboarding? The wind, the rush, the thrill, Skiing is easy to learn but hard to master, While snowboarding is hard to learn, but easy to master. Or so the experts say. Well I got the chance to go skiing yesterday. It was amazing. But mainly, It was easy to learn, I found myself struggling on the bunny hills, But in three hours I was going down the blue hills. (Levels go: Bunny, Beginner, green, blue, diamond, double diamond) One small Challenge needed to master is the ski lift. The Ski lift. I felt, off it a couple of times. But It soon became child's play.
Did you know you can ski with out poles? Poles are used for balence, but some people are so good at balencing that they go down without poles.
I have not tried Snowboarding but I have seen it and know some people who do it.
IT's like skateboarding they say. You have to master taking the snowboard boot off and on. It's harder on the ski lifts.
For Skiing you use more lower body strenghth while with snowboarding you use more upper body strenghth.

Heart Puppy
A puppy has been born in Japan with a large, clear, love-heart-shaped pattern in his coat. The Chihuahua was born as one of a litter to a breeder. Shop owner Emiko Sakurada said it was the first time a puppy with the marks had been born out of a thousand she had bred, affectionately named ‘Heart-kun’. The long-coated male Chihuahua puppy was born in Odate, northern Japan.

Apple IPad
In April 2010, The New Apple I-pad will be released. But are the prices to high?
Before with the release of the I pod and the I-phone. The prices are specifically chosen to be semi expensive. Usually being less than $250 dollars. That way its easy for everyone to afford.
But, with the I-Pad the starting price is $499. $500. The starting price of a good laptop.
Laptops don't have touch screens, but they have more speed and space than a I-Pad. They also have the capability to hold more programs. More programs are made for windows than Mac. The Facts show it because in North America as of 2007. 3% of the population owned Macs. While Less than 2% owned Lynx operated computers.
The rest of the population owning computers were of Windows. The I-Pad is around the size of a Netbook. Some Netbooks are $300. Could the I-Pad be too expensive?
Why would people buy this I-Pad if they can buy a netbook for less?
The Name:
Apple has a "If you own this your cool" name.
According to some predictions, the I-Pad's price will lower in the next couple of years. Being that it will be expensive when First released. As it was with the I-phone and I-pod touch.
